Day 1: Jungle Trekking & Ahka Village Homestay (L/D)
Approx: 5–6 hours trekking
Begin your adventure from our office in Luang Namtha with a short briefing before driving to Ban Chalernsouk, a Khmu village at the edge of Nam Ha National Protected Area. Start trekking through primary forest, bamboo groves, and mountain trails while learning about edible plants, jungle fruits, and traditional survival skills from your local guide.
Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at a scenic viewpoint before continuing through forest and Akha farmland to Ban Namxa, an Akha village. Explore the village, learn about local traditions, and join your host family in preparing dinner if time allows. In the evening, enjoy stories shared by village elders and experience authentic Akha hospitality during your overnight homestay.
Day 2: Ahka tribe Village – NamTha River kayak (B/L)
Approx. 4–5 hours Kayaking
After breakfast, take a short Tuk-Tuk ride to a Lanten village and begin kayaking along the scenic Nam Tha River. Paddle through beautiful jungle landscapes, passing remote Khmu villages where you can learn about traditional fishing, farming, and village life.
Stop for a picnic lunch by the river and keep watch for wildlife near a natural salt lick often visited by deer, birds, and other forest animals. Continue downstream through the peaceful rainforest before finishing your kayaking adventure in the afternoon. A Tuk-Tuk will then transfer you back to Luang Namtha, concluding your two-day jungle and river experience.
