TOUR DETAILS

Experience the natural wonders of Southern Laos on an unforgettable adventure from Pakse to the breathtaking 4,000 Islands region.

Begin your journey to a charming local village before boarding a traditional boat, cruising along the Mekong and passing the peaceful island of Don Det en route to Don Khon. Explore the island by bicycle, riding through quiet paths to discover the historic French colonial bridge and scenic river embankments that reflect the area’s unique past.

Along the way, observe local fishermen casting their nets and learn about the deep cultural importance of fishing in Lao riverside life. Continue to the stunning Somphamit Waterfall, where powerful rapids rush through rocky channels — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Journey deeper into nature with a peaceful boat ride through lush rainforest waterways to see the Irrawaddy dolphin area along the Mekong River. Then continue by boat to a quiet border town before traveling by van to witness the magnificent Khone Phapheng Falls, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia and the true highlight of the Mekong.
