Day 1: Office – Market – Forest Trek – Khmu Homestay (L/D)
Approx: 5–6 hours walking
Begin your journey from our office with a visit to the lively local morning market, where villagers trade fresh produce, forest herbs, and traditional foods. From there, start trekking through rice fields, countryside trails, and secondary forest before entering the jungle. Along the way, your guide shares knowledge about traditional farming, forest plants, and local life. In the afternoon, arrive at a Khmu village and enjoy a guided village walk. Join a hands-on Khmu cooking experience, share dinner with your host family, and in the evening enjoy a traditional village dancing performance around the fire. Overnight at a Khmu homestay.
Day 2: Khmu Village – Nam Ha Jungle Viewpoint – Lanten Tribe (B/L/D)
Approx: 6–7 hours walking
After breakfast, leave the village and trek into the heart of Nam Ha National Protected Area. Walk through primary forest and bamboo groves while enjoying panoramic mountain scenery. Reach a spectacular jungle viewpoint and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Continue trekking to a peaceful Lanten village, where you will learn about the community’s unique culture and traditions. Visit local families to see traditional weaving on hand-operated looms, natural indigo cotton dyeing, and bamboo paper making (seasonal). Enjoy dinner and overnight at a Lanten homestay.
Day 3: Lanten Village – Mountain Peak -Return to City (B/L)
Approx: 5–6 hours walking
In the morning, spend time learning more about Lanten daily life and traditional handicrafts before beginning your trek through rice fields, forest streams, and old-growth jungle. Along the way, your guide will explain medicinal plants and the traditional use of forest resources. Reach a scenic mountain peak viewpoint and enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes. In the afternoon, descend to another Lanten tribe village, where a tuk-tuk will be waiting to transfer you back to Luang Namtha.
