2 Days Gentle trek to a highland of Lahu Tribe Homestay

Return: 2-3 pm (Green Trail Laos office)

Day 1: Ban Prang – Ban LaHou
Approx: 2–3 hours trekking

Your adventure begins at 9:00 AM with a briefing at your hotel or the Green Trail Laos office. Visit the local morning market to pick up fresh ingredients and experience daily village life. Continue to Ban Prang, a traditional Khmu village, where your guide will introduce you to the local culture and way of life.

Begin trekking through farmland and forest in Nam Ha National Protected Area. Along the way, learn about edible plants and forest resources while enjoying the peaceful jungle surroundings. A traditional picnic lunch will be prepared using fresh ingredients and local cooking methods. By mid-afternoon, arrive at Ban LaHou, a remote Lahu village surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Explore the village, meet local families, and learn about their culture and traditions before spending the night in a simple village homestay.

Note: Village facilities are very basic. There are no toilets, and bathing is done in a nearby stream, as practiced by local residents.

Day 2: Ban LaHou – Ban NamWang
Approx. 4–5 hours trekking

Wake up to the peaceful mountain atmosphere and enjoy a simple breakfast paired with hot tea or coffee. After packing up, head into the primary forest, following a different route that allows you to further explore the untouched biodiversity of Nam Ha NPA.
Your guide will share knowledge about the forest’s plants, wildlife, herbs, and traditional jungle survival skills, stopping occasionally to gather edible greens and medicinal plants. Lunch is again cooked along the trail using natural jungle techniques an immersive experience.
After lunch, enjoy an easy two-hour downhill hike back toward Ban NamSing. The trail is gentle and scenic, offering your final moments inside the deep forest.
Upon arrival in Ban NAmSing, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Luang Namtha, bringing your two-day cultural and jungle adventure to a close.
