TOUR DETAILS
Day 1: LuangNamTha city- Ban Tha Sae (NamHa River)
Approx. 5–6 hours Kayaking
Meet your guide at the office or hotel at 9:00 am for a welcome briefing before traveling by tuk-tuk to Tha Sae Village, the starting point of your river journey. After hands-on kayaking and safety instruction, launch onto the Nam Ha River and paddle through a peaceful jungle corridor surrounded by lush vegetation and birdlife.
Enjoy fun, beginner-friendly rapids before stopping for a relaxing riverside picnic lunch. In the afternoon, continue downstream through alternating calm sections and small rapids, with a cultural stop at a Khmu village to learn about traditional river-based life. Arrive at Nalan Village in the late afternoon and settle into your riverside homestay. In the evening, enjoy a home-cooked Lao dinner, a local children’s performance, and the tranquil atmosphere of the village.
Day 2: Rapids, Culture & Jungle River Life
Approx. 5–6 hours Kayaking
Wake to the sounds of the river and jungle birds, then enjoy a traditional Lao breakfast. Depart mid-morning for another exciting day of kayaking, navigating fresh rapids and scenic stretches of river. Along the way, visit riverside villages of the Khmu and Lanten ethnic groups, where you’ll observe daily life and traditional weaving practices.
Stop for a picnic lunch at a beautiful jungle riverbank, with time to swim, relax, or explore the surrounding forest. In the afternoon, paddle through the final section of the river, enjoying the last rapids and peaceful flows before arriving at Houay Leuat Village. Return to Luang Namtha by tuk-tuk in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable river adventure.
