Day 1: Deep Jungle Trek – Ahka tribe homestay (L/D)
Approx. 5–6 hours trekking
Begin your adventure from Luang Namtha and drive to Ban Chalernsouk, a Khmu village on the edge of Nam Ha National Protected Area.
Trek through bamboo forests, mountain streams, and untouched rainforest while learning about medicinal plants, edible herbs, and traditional jungle survival techniques. Collect ingredients from the forest and enjoy a freshly prepared jungle lunch at a scenic viewpoint.
Continue through Akha farmland and forest trails before arriving at Ban Namxa, an authentic Akha village.
Discover the unique traditions of the Akha people, visit the traditional spirit gate and girls’ house, and learn about local customs and beliefs. In the evening, enjoy dinner with your host family, listen to stories from village elders, and experience a traditional Akha massage.

Day 2: Ethnic Sightseeing & Cultural Discovery (L/D)
Approx. 5–6 hours trip
After breakfast, a Tuk-Tuk will pick you up from the Akha homestay for a cultural tour around the Luang Namtha countryside.
– Lanten Village
Visit a traditional Lanten community famous for its beautiful embroidered clothing, indigo-dyed textiles (December–February), and handmade bamboo paper. Learn about the unique customs and craftsmanship that have been preserved for generations.
– Ban Phieng Ngarm – Tai Deng Village
Explore the village handmade museum and discover traditional tools, local history, and ethnic heritage. Watch villagers weaving silk and cotton textiles and browse handmade souvenirs produced by local artisans.
– Akha Village
Visit another Akha community to gain deeper insight into daily life, traditional architecture, and the customs of one of northern Laos’ most fascinating ethnic groups.
– Phoum Phouk Stupa
Stop at this peaceful Buddhist stupa surrounded by natural scenery. Learn about its spiritual significance and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
– Nam Dee Waterfall
End the tour at the beautiful Nam Dee Waterfall, a refreshing natural attraction nestled among lush greenery and limestone hills, perfect for photos and relaxation.
Return to Luang Namtha City around noon, concluding your cultural adventure.
