Day 1 – Deep Jungle Trek & Akha Homestay (L,D)
Approx: 4–5 hours trekking
At 9:00 am meet your English-speaking guide at our office or your hotel and begin the day with a visit to the vibrant local morning market, where you will help select fresh ingredients for your jungle lunch.
Travel by Tuk-Tuk for approximately 40 minutes to a traditional Khmu village as: Ban Chalernsouk through bamboo forests and rainforest while learning about jungle plants, survival skills, and local traditions. Enjoy a fresh jungle lunch before continuing through Akha farmland to Ban Namxa. Discover Akha culture, the spirit gate, traditional girls’ house, and village life. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner and traditional Akha massage before staying overnight with a local family.
Day 2 – Nam Tha River Kayaking Adventure (B,L)
Approx: 4–5 hours kayaking on NamTha river
After your breakfast Tuk-Tuk will bring us to NamTha river for 10 munites to paddle along the scenic Nam Tha River through lush forests, mountains, farmland, and peaceful villages. Visit Lanten and Khmu communities, discover traditional handicrafts and local lifestyles, and enjoy a forest walk to learn about medicinal plants. Relax with a riverside picnic lunch before continuing downstream through beautiful jungle scenery and gentle river currents.
