Embark on an unforgettable 2-day trekking adventure through the remote villages of Northeast Laos. This journey offers a deep cultural experience, allowing you to interact with diverse ethnic tribes, witness traditional ways of life, and explore the stunning landscapes of Phongsaly and BounTai. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the Akha, Phounoi, Tai Lue, Laoseng, and Khmu communities while enjoying the breathtaking wilderness of northern Laos.
TOURS DETAIL
Day 1: Phongsaly – BounTai – Ethnic Village Exploration
7:30 AM: Depart from your hotel in Phongsaly and drive 30 km towards BounTai. En route, stop at an Akha Oma tribe village to learn about their traditions and way of life.
Continue to an Akha Pixor village, where you can purchase handmade souvenirs such as necklaces, bracelets, and animal toys.
Arrive in BounTai and visit additional ethnic villages, including Akha Pixor, Phounoi,Tai Lue, Akha Erpa, and Laoseng communities.
Engage with the villagers, explore their homes, and witness traditional crafts.
Evening: Enjoy a cultural exchange and dinner before spending the night with a local family or in a guesthouse in BounTai.Day 2: Tribal Village Visits – Return to Phongsaly
Morning: Enjoy breakfast with your host family before continuing the journey. Visit more ethnic villages, including the Tang Yang, Laoseng, Akha Mouchee, Laosoung Hmong, Akha Cherpia, and Khmu tribes.
Experience the natural beauty of Northeast Laos as you trek through untouched wilderness.
3:00 – 4:00 PM: Drive back to BounTai, then return to Phongsaly, concluding the tour.- Evening: Arrive at a Khmu tribe village, where you will experience their traditional way of life. Spend the night in the village, sharing stories and learning about their rich culture.
Day 2: Tribal Encounters & Scenic Views
- Morning: Continue your trek along the Nam Ha valleyfor about 1.5 hours, visiting another Khmu village and the Lantan tribe. Experience their daily routines and cultural traditions.
- Midday: Venture deeper into the jungle, where you’ll enjoy a picnic lunchsurrounded by nature.
- Afternoon: Hike uphill to a peak point, offering panoramic views of Nam Ha National Park. After soaking in the scenery, descend to the trek’s endpoint, where a Tuk-Tukwill be waiting to transport you back to the office around 2-3 PM.
